Project description

The North Carolina 43MW project (NC-31) is located in Bladenboro, North Carolina in the United States. The 43MW solar plant represents the maiden investment of New Energy Solar. The project has a secured 10-year1 power purchase agreement (PPA) with Duke Energy Progress, Inc., a subsidiary of the largest electric power holding company in the United States. Now operational, the plant is expected to generate enough electricity to power approximately 10,000 homes.”

Initial energy production of the utility-scale solar plant is underwritten by minimum performance guarantees provided by Gransolar.

New Energy Solar owns a substantial majority interest in the project. Funding of the acquisition was completed shortly after the project commenced commercial operations in March, 2017.
